Łukasz Piątkowski
Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng., PUT Proffessor
I obtained my PhD from the University of Amsterdam, while conducting my research in ultrafast vibrational spectroscopy at the AMOLF Institute in Amsterdam. I then undertook postdoctoral research in molecular nanophotonics at the ICFO Institute in Barcelona and worked as a project leader at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of experimentation when studying various nanoscale systems, particularly those of biological significance. The more people tell me it can’t be done, the more determined I am to do it 😉

Emilia Krok
Ph.D., Eng.
I hold a Master’s degree in Molecular Bioengineering from the Technical University of Dresden and a PhD from Poznan University of Technology. I employ bottom-up strategies to design minimal cell systems, with the goal of revealing the core principles that drive the structural organization and properties of cellular membranes. At the SPOT Lab, I am responsible for the characterization of a wide range of soft matter systems using infrared nanospectroscopy (AFM-IR).

Marta Przychodnia
Ph.D., Eng.
My research interest focuses on condensed matter research, with a particular focus on two-dimensional materials. I have experience in the fabrication and characterization of 2D surface alloys under ultra-high vacuum conditions, using low-temperature STM and synchrotron-based techniques. During my postdoctoral internship, I conducted research using light-assisted STM. Currently, I focus on graphene and related 2D materials, investigating their electronic and optical properties.
